For those who were active in the 60's and 70's, you will remember this photo. This was how you had to set up the trunk in your Patrol Vehicle for inspection.  As soon as you closed the trunk and drove a few miles, it was again cluttered because it all shifted during the first few turns.  Most of it was never used and probably would not work anyway.  So much for being ready.
